So here is the latest on this topic. My thesis advisor pretty much sucks, she doesn't really KNOW her function, I'm supposed to give the draft today and she hasn't approved it because she "can't" correct it over a Sunday, because the university won't take away that day of her. So please allow me to express my insights over this, if you are a "professional" o a professor and you DON'T have time, don't compromise the time of a student that is more than willing to work hard.
My draft thesis is ready since thursday and is hard that just because the teacher doesn't know the methodology the students have to suffer. Today Bia and I will discuss this with the professor in charge over the school and give a Draft Thesis without being authorized be the advisor.
Have a good day!

Draft Thesis
As promised here's an update in my thesis process. My partner and I talked today with our thesis advisor, she's really demanding, which I think is great because it pushes us to fill her expectations. In order to not keep calling her "thesis advisor", I'll call her Mrs. B, she works in a public institution related to commerce here in the DR, also publishes articles of the area of work in a online newspaper.
Today Bia and I reunited and were making which will be our index, determining which subjects we were planning on develop, our official deadline is Monday, July 23th, 2012. But Mrs. B requested us to send it this Tuesday or Wednesday, that's the main reason why we are reuniting again tomorrow.
So far we have plenty of documents and information to work in the draft, since the minimum sources requested for the bibliography is 5. I must confess I'm really excited with this process because it'll define my future.

A Journal

Yesterday my dissertation topic was accepted, so I decided to share everything that will go through until my graduation day, which will be in March 2013. I should say that I'm taking my last subjects and planning to begin some new online courses this Friday. I'm not doing the dissertation alone, I have a partner for the purpose of the blog we'll call her Bia. I plan to share information I find on the topic, my opinion on them and what happens. My topic is: Competitive Analysis of the Dominican Organic Products under the Fair Trade in the Economic Partnership Agreement during 2008-2011.
The EPA (Economic Partnership Agreement) is as it name says a partnership agreement between the EU and the members of the Cariforum, which include the Dominican Republic. This agreement doesn't only include trade of goods and services, but humanitarian help as well. It's one of the most important agreement the DR is subscribed, besides the DR-CAFTA.
I hope you find this of interest.
Greetings,
Jennifer

What represents a good candidate?
What represents a good candidate? Yes, I'm talking about politics. In this year, several countries passed, are going through or going to be in an election process. We saw how the socialist candidate in France (Hollande) won, and the shake that Greece went through where their 2 primary parties weren't as spectacular as expected. On may 20th the Dominican Republic will be undergoing this process, with candidates and parties that leave a lot to be desired. The political environment is so stagnant that we have to choose between the same 2 candidates we had 12 years ago. One talks without thinking that he might screw up his entire political career, but who are we kidding? We celebrate that stuff, it embarrass us, but we enjoy it. In the other corner, we have one that doesn't say too much, that is considered a puppet of his party, recent cases of corruption, make us wonder, until when we have to deal with this kind of behavior.
Going back to my former question, What represents a good candidate? It represents someone that considers matters such as equality, drugs, corruption, taxes, education, health, commerce and production. Those are key in any country to grow and make an impact in its region. It's necessary that the candidate make realistic and viable proposal that can be worked in the period of 4 years.
A good candidate represents everyone as a country and the political and diplomatic stance that we as a country share.

Unique
The human being has a tendency to consider a disadvantage something that makes it unique and different from the others. Usually a bad turn of event, a bad relationship or just not the expected outcome, are the main reason. But no matter what, people must remember that sometimes it isn't its fault, something just can't be controlled, even if we expect them to happen.

Change or something like that.
Sometimes you stop and stare the society, or better yet your own generation and you wonder "How the hell we end up with this people?". And then you look at the news, tv shows, this people is everywhere, I mean EVERYWHERE, the government, your school, office, tv, everywhere, people who only care about shallow stuff, and we see that so much, that we start to act like them, of course not completely, to everything there is a process. But even those who are different acquire some of them, not allowing them to be completely different, we criticize but don't do anything to change it, put some veil in our eyes and wait for someone else to do it. So when is your or my time to act? When is too late? When you are so f'up that there is not much to do? Changes happen whether we do something or just stare calmly. And like Desiderata said: "And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the world is unfolding as it should."
